"There is a world of peanuts out there..."

Those were the words of the producer on this job. I had the (pretty fun) task of helping to research the little details that make up Mr Peanut's world...

Behind the scenes...

I spent last Friday shooting on a very beautiful level crossing in West Sussex in the most amazing bright autumn weather. This time it was wardrobe assisting for a train commercial, but it won't be on air until next year.

Still love Wes Anderson...

I got to work on the mood reel for this (In the very tiniest way I have to admit, through the very awesome Hazel May) Still that's pretty cool & probably the closest I'll get to actually working with my hero Wes...

Amazing Romanian Studio

It's still like summer in Romania. I went out to assist the wardrobe department on an (amazing) Ikea ad. The studio was mental- huge and crumbling with wild dogs running between the stages.

This street was a deserted set held up by huge scaffolding...

This awesome car and fire truck were just hanging around too.

jetsetting

Guess where. So far I've seen lots of mental looking dogs and a shopping center...

Is it a horse or a cow?

Through the lovely and amazing Hazel May I got to work on finding the footage for this ace little film. (That was how I came across this)

Sadly I can't embed it into the blog, but you can see it if you follow this link

LOVE SHACK!

I have been doing a bit of work for the lovely Shoot Experience who held an event called the Love Shack at the Big Chill festival this year and I designed the logo for them.

I painted it onto the sign for the tent and they made it into temporary tattoos - how ACE!

(These photos are from here taken by shoot experience)

The work in progress - painted on a very hot dusty afternoon in Dalston - refreshment was provided by a very cool man who turned up with three beers packed Tardis-like in his bumbag.

1960s photography

For a job I have been immersed for a few days in researching photographers that shot in colour in the 1960s...

Locanda Ottoemezzo

I spent the best day today writing the menu board for Stef's deli - Locanda Ottoemezzo in Kensington.
It ended up taking about five hours and throughout Stef bought me some of the most amazing dishes and we listened to some amazing records (hits of the continent played on hammond organ combined with Elton John).
The website for the restaurant is here and it's an awesome, awesome place all red walls and vintage Italian film posters.

Football...but pretty

So I have been busy designing a world cup poster that's far prettier to put on your wall than the usual one you would get free with The Sun. All for a lovely creative communications company called Wisdom... Check it out here

A treat

I think I have done well on my first freelance week and so I'm celebrating with an afternoon cheese plate with some Percy pigs while dave searches to find a film from his collection that isn't massivly downbeat... Happiness!
