From the little book of shocking global facts... Pretty much all the facts leading up to this one are depressingly negative though.

Absolutly LOVE this

And not least because I worked on some of the research for it (that's what this was all about)

It looks beautiful, the music is amazing, the casting, location and costumes are spot on. And it's not perfect. I love it.

I also think the fact that I love it so much has something to do with this guy -

Harold and Maude

What an amazing film. Really, really amazing. It's so perfect. Made even better by the Cat Steven's soundtrack -

I can't say anything more than WATCH IT. Please. It's amazing

Ace things about freelance

The mid morning shandy & paper on a weekday...

It was about a month ago that I had the pleasure of this morning. Since then I've been pretty busy which has been amazing. Still can't quite get over how lovely it is being a researcher full time (and also the weird panic when you haven't worked for a day or two).

Gainsbourg

CAN'T WAIT for this. It's out (in england) in a few weeks.
I vote we all dress up as Serge or Jane Birkin and go see it - who is with me?

"Why don't you tell me all the things you like and the things you don't like... I like good foods, steaks and hash brown potatoes, things like that. I like good books and magazines, riding on trains at night and those times I flew in an airplane"

The shout

Wow, I just watched this kind of by accident, I didn't know it was horror film, but it's great.
It's about a man that can kill people with his shout... another one of those films that totally wouldn't get made now days.
