Inspired by Living in the Material World

Continuing my obsession with George Harrison after watching Martin Scorsese's documentary (this one) I have spent quite a lot of my time this past week googling images of George Harrison. And mourning that fact I wasn't alive in the 60's ...Wow.

I also came across this beauty -

Now that one's really amazing!

Reddress

Last night was spent laying in a fold of a dress and the lady wearing it sang beautiful Finnish songs to me. It was a very beautiful experience.

Nice on the eyes.

Very naughtily I didn't keep a record of where I got these images from. Which is very annoying because they are both lovely.
+ this song is what September felt like this year -

MIstakes

I went to the exhibition of Edward McKnight Kauffer at the Estoric Collection.

The thing that stuck me most - rather than the actual posters was the hand-made-ness of them- just because he's from a time before computers. It seems so sad that now none of our mistakes will be preserved.

Just what we need....

...since going to see Arcade Fire now means having to brave a horrible crowd of football-fan-type men aggressively chanting along to the songs while pouring pints of beer everywhere....

These guys look pretty much perfect.

There is something so magical about the animation of these photos... although I love the animated gif whatever.

Absolutly Amazing

And once again the costumes are by my hero Edith Head

It's one of those films that I should have seen years ago, but somehow never got around to. Just awesome.

Spoils from the flower market

All the more lovely now I have a garden to plant them in.

Under the net

"Perhaps a failed director who had turned his artistic talents to the business side of the industry, consoling himself by making money for the loss of a vision of beauty which would neverthetheless haunt him all his life, and make him short- tempered whenever he came near the set and saw other men struggling with the problems which had given him ecstasy at twenty five, sleepless nights at thirty and had finally brought him to despair."

Ideas for a dinner party

I found these AMAZING creations in a newspaper supliment from 1984. Apparent Barbara Cartland released a cookery book called 'The Romance of Food'. I think I need that book and then I have to throw a dinner party.

I must be looney...

Eastbourne - the San Francisco of the south coast?

Some more new work...

Mostly when I work on a research job all my work goes towards just putting the pitch together and winning the job. Which is fine. But sometimes I get to do a bit more than that, spending time really trying to find images that will influence the mood and the feel of the whole ad - those are the jobs that are really ace, and this was one of those.

LOVE IT! Awesome new VW ad from Tony Barry -

New jobs...

I spent January assisting the lovely Sue Worthy on this job.

Although I got to go to the shoot at Alexandra Palace, I sadly didn't get to go to the sunny outside South African part...
