Back at the start of summer I was able to spend a few days researching the world of a london girl in the 1920's, helping to get all the little period details right - for this John Lewis commercial. Happily I had the time to dig through libraries at London college of Fashion and also the VERY amazing Sands Films picture library. Sometimes it's easy to forget that not everything exists online.
During the London Design Festival I got tickets for access to a dome on the roof of the V&A that is not usually open to the public. It was such a magical space and the day was so beautifully autumnal that I fell even more in love with amazing London.
My amazingly clever friend Emma has written a book and I'm very honored that she asked me to draw the cover. I'm so pleased with how it turned out even if I might not be quite smart enough to be able to read it.
